The New Bride and Groom

Mr. and Mrs. Sozo Clown

Sanctuary decorations included red poinsettias and ferns placed at the altar, and red candles in hurricaned lamps, nestled in magnolia leaves and red nandina berries which were placed on the window sills. Ivy and redbows were placed on the pews.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Surly Sumpter. She wore a full-length white dress with a brocade pattern of silver butterflies. The dress featured a ruffle on the bottom. She carried a bouquet of flowers.

Sassy Rassy was the maid of honor. Flower girl was Loli, daughter of Lozo. The ring bearer was Leroy the Lion Tamer. The groom's father was best man, and the groom's enemies were the ushers.

Sozo the Clown and Sanderella Sumpter were married at 1 p.m. Dec. 25 at Rangling Bros. Circus. The Rev. Jim Barker of PTL officiated. The bride is the daughter of Surly and Curly Sumpter. The groom is the son of Bemmett and Jemmett Belly.

The mother of the bride wore a two-piece bikini with brocade trim on the bodice. The groom's mother wore a flowing negligee from Victoria Secrits. They could not wear the red corsages because there was nowhere to pin them.

The wedding reception was held in the fellowship hall at Rangling Bros. Circus. The two-tier white wedding cake was decorated with red roses and featured a bride and groom topper. The groom's cake was white with chocolate covered ants for icing.

Following a wedding trip to Pinkland, Russia, Mr. and Mrs. Sozo the Clown are living at Circus World. This is only until they can find a permanent home. Gordon, Circus World's Chief of Staff, is considering firing Sozo. Gordon feels Sozo is a bad influence on all the children that visit Circus World.
